David Harrison - Chairman

David Harrison - Chairman

David set up Harrison & Company (soils and foundation engineers) Limited in 1977; operating from a small office in Norwich, UK. He has more than 30 years experience in construction related activities, covering civil, geotechnical and environmental engineering.

He has managed the expansion of the company including the setting up of offices in London and Malta and was instrumental in the rebranding of the company when it became Harrison Group Environmental Limited in 2002.

Steve Williams - Managing Director

Steve Williams - Managing Director

Steve joined the Harrison Group over 20 years ago after completing his degree in Engineering Geology and Geotechnics at the University of Portsmouth.

He worked initially as an Engineering Geologist progressing to Operations Director in April 2000 where he was responsible for the development of the geotechnical and environmental divisions of the company. In March 2006 Steve became Managing Director of the Harrison Group and is busy driving the company forward in accordance with its strategic plans.

Alan Stewart - Associate Director, Finance

Alan Stewart - Associate Director, Finance

Alan Stewart is a UEA graduate in European History and Norwegian.

He trained and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with the Norwich office of Coopers & Lybrand (now PWC) and has worked in senior finance positions in a number of different types of industries. Alan is responsible for the accounting and finance functions.

Aamer Raza - Associate Director, Environmental

Aamer Raza - Associate Director, Environmental

Aamer leads the company’s environmental practice and is a recognised expert in human health risk assessment.

He originally joined the company as a Principal Consultant in 2004 having spent fourteen years in Environmental Consulting in the United States.

John Keay - Associate Director, Geotechnical

John Keay - Associate Director, Geotechnical

John is responsible for the development of the geotechnical division operating out of the company’s London office.

John has 20 years experience in site investigation and geotechnical engineering and has been successfully leading the Harrison team engaged in work on the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games site in East London.

Jon Archer

Jon Archer - Principal Geoenvironmental Engineer

Having joined Harrison Group in September 2004, Jon has built up a wealth of experience, primarily in contaminated land assessment and geotechnical investigation.

His role focuses on managing the Geotechnical Engineering department and CAD capabilities in the Norwich office, and the further development of site investigation services.

Henry Chapman - Business Services Manager

Henry Chapman - Group Business Services Manager and General Manager - Testing Services

Henry Chapman joined the Company in September 2006 to take on responsibility for all quality, health and safety and environmental management, including the certification and accreditation programmes relating to BS EN ISO 9001:2008, BS EN ISO 14001:2004 & IEN ISO/IEC 17025:2005.

He also manages all aspects of Harrison Testing Services, including the development, performance and operation of field and laboratory testing work.
